Bulky Waste Collection Service

We at The Pioneer Group are committed to keeping Castle Vale a clean and safe place to live. In order to keep up with this commitment, we provide all our tenants with a FREE bulky waste collection service. The service is provided twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. To take advantage of this service please read the FAQ section below.

 

Who can book the Bulky Collection Service?

Anyone who lives on Castle Vale and pays rent to CVCH or Pioneer Places can book our Bulky Waste Collection Service. This service is not available for commercial properties, such as shops. For Castle Vale residents who are not CVCH or Pioneer Places tenants, you can book a Bulky Waste Collection Service through Birmingham City Council by clicking here.

 

What type of waste do you remove?

Our team removes household and garden furniture. These items can include:

Wardrobes

Electrical Items

Carpet

Laminate

Beds / Mattresses / Sofas

Is there anything you cannot remove?

There are a number of items we cannot remove. Some of these items can be disposed of correctly by using the Council Household Recycling Centres – you can book your visit to any Birmingham Recycling Centre for free by clicking here.

Alternatively, Castle Vale residents who are not CVCH or Pioneer Places tenants can book a Bulky Waste Collection Service through Birmingham City Council by clicking here.

Items we cannot remove include:

Green / Building / Commercial waste

Domestic Waste

Car Parts / Tyres / Gas Canisters

White Goods

Piano

How many items do we collect per visit?

We will collect a maximum of 3 large items or 5 small items per visit.

Large items are classed as:

Settees

Arm Chairs

Dining Tables

Beds

Wardrobes

Small items are classed as:

Microwaves

Toasters

Kettles

Dining Chairs

TVs / Monitors

How and where should the items be left?

We provide a curb-side only collection service, therefore all items should be left out the night before collection and all items should be left where a vehicle can easily access to remove.

Please do not put your items out any earlier as you could be prosecuted for fly-tipping.
