Earlier today, we were made aware by one of our customers that they could smell smoke from the basement area of Chivenor House.
We immediately called West Midlands Fire Service, who arrived to Chivenor House within minutes.
We worked closely with them to conduct a thorough investigation of the basement and first floor areas, including the use of thermal imaging equipment.
Thankfully, we were unable to find any trace or evidence of a fire or fault that could lead to a fire.
Our customers’ safety is our top priority. Our staff will remain at Chivenor House for the next 2 days to keep a close eye. We’ve also informed our residents at Chivenor House of what’s happened, hand-delivering letters to their doors and will be keeping them updated.
