Head of Asset Management baton passed on to Carl Lewis

Christmas saw the retirement of Keith Lanchbury, former Head of Asset Management, from The Pioneer Group after two years in post. Keith was instrumental in overseeing the transition of the Asset Management service during this period and the mobilisation of the new repair and maintenance service.  We would like to wish Keith and long and happy well- deserved retirement.

Keith Lanchbury, said:

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Pioneer Group, it has been a fantastic organisation with which to finish my working career. Looking back on my time, I can say that I am most proud of how the service to our tenants has evolved in to the excellent service we see today. I leave the role in the confident hands of our Asset Management team who I am sure will continue The Pioneer Group’s efforts in serving the community.

The Pioneer Group now congratulates Carl Lewis who will be taking over from Keith Lanchbury as its new Head of Asset Management.

Carl has a wealth of experience in the industry having ran several multimillion pound contracts across the Midlands. He has already been with The Pioneer Group for over two years and has a solid appreciation for the challenges the organisation and customers face.

The new role consists of managing a small, but focused, Asset Management team, responsible for repairs, compliance, major works and voids for The Pioneer Group’s housing stock and facilities. Carl will work closely with the team to see many of the projects that are important to our customers be delivered on time and to budget.

Carl concluded:

My plans for the team are to build on the success of the last 24 months and work hard to continuously improve the services that we deliver. Coupled with this will be the important work we do to keep our residents safe in their homes as well as working to shield them from the worst of the challenges that we face moving forward, such as increases in fuel prices.

Carl was part of The Pioneer Group’s ‘Inspiring Leader’ programme which aims to help support the development of talent within the organisation. Candidates are supported through a mentoring programme, as well as access to internal and external training to achieve their career aspirations.

The Asset Management team is currently working on the mobilisation of The Pioneer Group’s biggest major works programme to date. This includes delivering replacement windows, doors and bathrooms across the group’s properties, investing over £17m over the next 8 years.  The team is also embarking on a major project to update and gather data on the condition of stock, to better assess where major improvement works are required in the future.
