Money Advice renewed to provide tenants free support

The Pioneer Group has renewed its contract with Spitfire Services for another two years to provide continued access to independent financial services for all The Pioneer Group customers and residents of Castle Vale.

The Castle Vale-based housing association understands the importance for residents to have access to unbiased financial advice, particularly in the current climate with the rise in cost of living, energy and food prices.

Tenants can be referred for the support, delivered through Spitfire Services, that covers a wide range of areas including welfare benefits advice, budgeting and debt management help, assistance with grant applications and identifying ways to improve rent affordability. A comprehensive list of services available by Spitfire Services can be found here.

Tosin Durojaiye is the newly-appointed Income Manager at The Pioneer Group who heads up the income team and works closely with Spitfire Services. Tosin encourages tenants to approach the Customer 1st Team for further information and a referral to Spitfire Services, either by:

  • Dropping into CVCH’s office at 11 High Street, Birmingham B35 7PR
  • Calling 0121 748 8100
  • or emailing contactus@cvch.org.uk

Alternatively, tenants of Castle Vale Community Housing can also self-refer to Spitfire Services by:

We are looking forward to continuing to provide this much-needed assistance at a time when the cost of living is presenting huge challenges for our community. We welcome local tenants to access our service in Castle Vale, and we will support them with expert advice.

The Pioneer Group has partnered with Spitfire Services since 2010. The local money advice service won the new contract following a competitive tender process, and is contracted for a minimum of 200 referrals per year.
