Service Update after Heavy Snowfall

UPDATE 4pm: Our repairs has now resumed to normal service. Thank you for bearing with us this morning.

UPDATE 9:40am: Our Estates team are out and about today to help grit our blocks and schemes to keep our customers safe. Grit is now going to Phoenix Court, Whittle Croft, Topcliffe House and Chivenor House.

Status are currently assessing the status of their engineers. Non-urgent jobs today will be cancelled today to prioritise on emergencies. Their phone lines are also directing to a out-of-hours service today, due to the weather.

9am: Due to the heavy snowfall last night, there have been changes to our services, as well as updated guidance on travel services in West Midlands. Please see below for updates on our services, repairs, and advice on travel and staying warm.

We advise you to stay indoors if you can and avoid any unnecessary journeys today. If you do need to go out:

  • Layer up your clothing
  • Plan your journey ahead and check for any delays or road closures
  • Pack essentials in your car
  • Take extra care when walking on icy surfaces and try to stick to pavements along main roads
  • Fully charge your phone before you head out

Due to the heavy snow overnight, both our Reception on the High Street and The Sanctuary are closed today.

There may be some disruption to repairs services today due to the weather.

Nationwide Windows and Doors are not out on site today, also due to the weather.

With the heavy snowfall, make sure to stay warm today:

  • Layer up your clothing
  • Focus on heating one room in your home where you spend most time
  • Close the curtains to keep heat in
  • Bleed your radiators

Make sure to also check in on any elderly neighbours or those living alone if they any support.
