Stechford’s Manor House development nearing completion

The ambitious project to revitalise Stechford with 83 affordable homes is coming to a successful completion.

By the end of June 2021, the last phase of the development will bring 30 more homes on stream with the mixed tenure housing including Open Market Sales, Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy properties.

A tight knit community is already developing with existing owners settling in well and taking pride in their homes and gardens.

Claire Orpwood, Development Manager at The Pioneer Group, says:

The development has really enhanced the area and provides a range of housing options to anyone looking to settle in Stechford.

We’ve had a tremendous amount of interest in this popular development. In this last phase our shared ownership houses are already reserved, but we do have some two bedroom Rent to Buy flats still available and we’re urging interested parties to come forward as soon as possible.

As the only Rent to Buy scheme currently available on the Help to Buy portal in Birmingham, anyone with a household income of £60,000 or less who doesn’t currently own a home can apply to live on the Station Road, Stechford development.

Rent to Buy is a government scheme designed to ease the move from renting to buying a home by providing subsidised rent.
With Rent to Buy, you rent a newly built home at approximately 20% below the market rate for up to five years, giving you the opportunity to save for your deposit whilst enjoying a brand-new home. After the first year you have the option to buy the property or The Pioneer Group will consider a request to buy part of the property under a Shared Ownership scheme.

As part of the Manor House development, there have also been new highway improvements to what is a busy part of Birmingham.
