Summer of Fun Just Around The Corner

Families across Castle Vale are in for a treat this summer as a packed programme of activities launches across the community. Running from Monday 21st July to Friday 29th August, the Castle Vale Summer Activity Programme 2025 offers six weeks of exciting events for children of all ages.

Organised in partnership with Young Stars, Kick Start Academy, Community Environmental Trust, and Spurgeons, the programme includes everything from multi-sports and swimming, to environmental workshops, cultural holiday clubs, and family sensory sessions.

Something for Everyone

Each week features a variety of themed activities, including:

  • Play and Learn sessions for ages 0–8 at Castle Vale Children’s Centre and Allotments
  • Football Camps and Multi-Sports Days with Kick Start Academy at Castle Vale Pool
  • Environmental workshops and nature trips with Community Environmental Trust
  • Cultural-themed holiday clubs at Youngstars Community Hub (Germany, Italy, Africa, Spain)
  • Free Holiday Clubs at The Sanctuary for ages 8–16
  • Family sensory sessions every Thursday afternoon at The Sanctuary

Many of the activities are free, especially those supported by the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Scheme, which is available to children on Free School Meals or with additional needs.

Save the Date: Castle Vale Summer Festival

The summer celebrations will culminate in the Castle Vale Community Festival on Saturday 30th August, held at Farnborough Fields from midday to 6pm. Expect live entertainment, food, games, and a chance to celebrate the summer with the whole community.
