The Pioneer Group Announces Birmingham Children’s Hospital as Charity Partner for 2025/26

The Pioneer Group is delighted to announce Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity as its chosen charity partner for 2025/26.

Following a successful year supporting Tommy’s Charity, where The Pioneer Group raised over £2,000, the housing association, based in Castle Vale, went out for input from staff and customers to find a new charity partner for the year. Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity emerged as the preferred choice, reflecting on both the community’s and staff’s wish to support a cause that makes a significant impact on young lives.

Funds raised through The Pioneer Group’s various charity activities over the next year will contribute to the hospital’s plans to enhance the look and feel of the main reception area. This vital space is the first point of contact for patients and their families, and the improvements aim to create a more welcoming and comforting environment.

Simon Wilson, Chief Executive at The Pioneer Group, said: “I am really pleased that we are announcing Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity as our nominated charity partner for the year.”

“Following the success of fundraising for Tommy’s Charity last year, it was important for us to find a charity that resonates with our staff and customers and also aligns with our commitment to giving back to the community. Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides life-changing care to thousands of young patients and their families, and we are proud to support their incredible work.”

Sophie Nesbitt, Philanthropy and Partnerships Executive at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re over the moon to be chosen as The Pioneer Group’s Charity of the Year and can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together in the coming months.

“Through their fundraising The Pioneer Group will be helping us on our mission to create better experiences for the 100,000 sick kids our hospital treats every single year, through the improvement of our environment and the funding of new equipment and research.”

The Pioneer Group looks forward to a year of fundraising activities, engaging with staff, customers, and local businesses to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
