The Pioneer Group’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Group (EDI Group) encouraged colleagues from across the organisation to arrange a food festival to celebrate and learn about the fundamentals of Ramadan, Eid al Fitr, Eid al Adha and the Hajj pilgrimage.

Colleagues from all faiths brought food to share. Members showcased the activities held by the local Muslim community of Castle Vale each Friday at The Sanctuary hub and the fundamentals of the Islamic faith and its celebrations.

The diversity of colleagues who donated food and who supported organising the event highlighted Pioneers continued determination to be an inclusive organisation, that mirrors the diversity of the city of Birmingham.
