The Pioneer Group has appointed Black Pear Electrical to ensure that our properties are safe and comply with all relevant legislation.
Working with The Pioneer Group since October 2020, Black Pear Electrical was appointed to assist with EICRs and any remedial work across a range of properties in our portfolio.
An EICR, or Electrical Inspection Condition Report, is an in-depth inspection of your property’s electrical systems and installation. The inspection is to assess and identify any issues that may be dangerous.
The electrical inspection firm has adapted its existing and proven processes for delivering multi-property compliance programmes to meet The Pioneer Group’s objectives.
Black Pear Electrical is providing an end-to-end service; from the initial assignment of a property, the team looks after everything and “hands the property” back once all electrical works have been completed and certification in place.
On a weekly basis, the firm reports back to The Pioneer Group with a progress report detailing the status of every property assigned to it:
- The result of the EICR (satisfactory or unsatisfactory)
- The date the remedial appointment has been booked, for those unsatisfactory results
- If we have not been able to gain access or if the tenants are shielding from COVID-19
- How many times we have attempted to make an appointment
Miles Harling, The Pioneer Group’s Contract Manager Planned Maintenance, said:
We engaged Black Pear to assist with the delivery of our electrical compliance programme and consequent remedial works to our property portfolio in Castle Vale, Birmingham. Taking ownership of the entire process with clear communication throughout they have proved a seamless addition. We now think of them to be a fully integrated part of our team, from the office staff to the front-line electricians.
