Martyn is a CIPFA-qualified finance professional who has worked in social housing since 2011.  He is Finance Director and Company Secretary for The Pioneer Group and is responsible for finance, treasury, IT, risk, business planning and governance.

Before joining The Pioneer Group in 2018, Martyn was Head of Finance for Rooftop Housing Group, a social landlord with 6,500 homes in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.   He has previously worked in local government and education.

Martyn is also a Non-Executive Director at Nehemiah Housing, a BAME specialist housing association in Birmingham.  He has a keen interest in languages, studied German at university in Sheffield and Frankfurt, and is currently attempting to learn Russian.
